Memoirely is an AI-powered memory preservation platform. You record voice notes or type stories, and our AI pipeline automatically transcribes, summarises, and enriches them with metadata (people, places, emotions). You can then browse, search, and chat with an AI that has access to your memory vault.

Yes — an account is required to store and access your memories securely. Sign up takes under a minute with email/password or Google OAuth. The Free plan requires no credit card.

Navigate to Memories → New Memory (or use Quick Actions on the Dashboard). Choose to record via microphone, type directly, or upload an audio file. AI processing starts automatically after you save.

Audio transcription and AI outputs support English, Hindi, and Bengali. You can set your preferred language from the navbar — it affects AI-generated titles, summaries, and reflections.

After you save a memory, our pipeline runs in the background: (1) audio is transcribed to text, (2) a concise title and summary are generated, (3) metadata is extracted (people, places, dates, emotions, topics), and (4) content is indexed for intelligent search. The detail page updates automatically as processing completes.

The speech-to-text system delivers high accuracy on clear audio in supported languages. You can always edit the transcript inline on the memory detail page if corrections are needed.

Semantic search understands the meaning behind your words, not just the exact keywords. You can search for 'the trip where I felt most alive' and it will find relevant memories even if those exact words don't appear in the transcript.

When you ask a question in Chat, Memoirely retrieves your most relevant memories, compresses the context, and streams a rich response. Answers include source citations you can click, related memories, and follow-up question suggestions.

Yes. On any memory detail page, you can edit the title, summary, and transcript inline. A toggle lets you switch between your edited version and the original AI output at any time.

Only you, by default. Each memory has a visibility setting: Private (only you), Family Only (your shared family members), or Public. You control this per memory.

By default, no — your data is only processed to provide the service to you. You can explicitly opt out of any AI training in Settings. We never sell your data to third parties.

Yes. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Export Data to download a full JSON export of all your memories, journal entries, chat messages, and profile. To delete your account and all data permanently, use the Delete Account option.

Yes. We comply with all GDPR rights: access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and transparency. Your data is stored in the EU (Ireland). See our GDPR page and Privacy Policy for full details.

We use Supabase (database, EU), OpenAI (AI transcription/generation), ElevenLabs (voice cloning, opt-in), Resend (email, EU), and Stripe (payments). All providers have GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreements. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Yes. Voice recordings are stored encrypted with time-limited access. Voice cloning is strictly opt-in — it never happens without your explicit action. You can delete cloned voices at any time. We never sell your voice data.

AI is used for transcription (Whisper), summaries and chat (GPT-4o-mini), and embeddings (text-embedding-3-small). AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate and should be reviewed. You can opt out of AI training in Settings.

The Free plan includes 90 minutes of audio per month, 500 MB storage, basic AI insights, and access to all core features including AI chat, semantic search, daily journal, and timeline. No credit card required.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period, so you keep Pro or Premium access until then.

We support all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and many local payment methods depending on your region.

New recordings are paused until your monthly limit resets. All existing memories, chat, and search features remain fully accessible. You can upgrade to Pro or Premium at any time for more capacity.

Memoirely works best in Chrome, Firefox, Safari (desktop and mobile), and Edge. Voice recording requires browser microphone access (HTTPS).

All interactive UI elements are keyboard-navigable with Tab and Enter/Space. We are building a full shortcut system for a future release.

Upload audio files via the Edit Memory page. Supported formats include MP3, WAV, M4A, and OGG.

Not yet — Memoirely is a web app optimised for mobile browsers. A native iOS/Android app is on our roadmap. You can use the web app full-screen via 'Add to Home Screen' on iOS and Android.
